Step 1

Get to Know the Policies of your School District

It is your responsibility to know your district and/or university policy regarding transcript requirements and deadline dates.

Information to provide your district should you need prior approval:

  1. Courses4Teachers Inc. partners with the University of the Pacific. They are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
  2. The units/credits we provide are graduate-level professional development semester units/credits that are designed for salary advancement and/or to renew credentials. They are not applicable towards a Master’s or higher degree within the University of the Pacific.

    *It is your responsibility to confirm with other universities whether they accept these credits toward a higher degree.

  3. Our courses have been accepted in school districts across the United States.

CKA 2023 FALL SERIES - Researched Based Strategies To Tackle Your Behavior Emergencies

With this certificate of completion, you have completed 15 hours of professional development work. You may register for 1 unit/credit. 

No additional log work is needed. You must have completed all 8 workshops in order to register.

WORKSHOP TITLES (Pre-Recorded Sessions):
Behavior and the brain skills to build with students.
Behavior and the science of learning. Practices that shape behavior.
Temperament - “understanding what is with this kid” for more effective management, and discipline.
Communicating with parents when they don’t want to hear it: working with parents in denial.
Introduction to trauma informed teaching.
Trauma informed intervention.
It’s not personal. Understanding behavior through brain research and development.
You can feed it or fight it: teacher plans and approaches to positive behavior management.

 

CKA 2022 FALL SERIES - Engaging and Mastering Standards: EduProtocols FTW

With this certificate of completion, you have completed 15 hours of professional development work. You may register for 1 unit/credit. 

*For CKA 2022, you will need to attach a log of 9 hours of independent professional development work you have done prior to, during, or after the conference.

CKA 2022 tRAINING TITLESDescription
Intro to EduProtocols and Fast and Curious (September 28th) Get the 411 on EduProtocols. Plus learn how to get our younger learners mastering standards with this introductory EduProtocol! This protocol uses data and instruction to target concepts like letter sounds, math fact fluency, vocabulary acquisition and more.
MathReps (October 5th) Help build mathematical muscle as we break Lisa Nowakowski's Math Reps down just for littles. Students become masters of multiple standards and concepts across the year. Just watch as your littles become mathematical masters with this EduProtocol!
Sketch and Tell (October 12th) Learn how our learners can develop understanding of different concepts & build language through drawing, building, creating & explaining with this EduProtocol. We also learn some sweet variations of this protocol as students' language blooms.
Emoji Writing (October 26th) Learn how to make writing more engaging, fun, effective and creative with the Emoji Writing EduProtocol. All it takes is a little mystery and a few fun emojis and students will literally ask you to write!
Little p*ARTs (November 2) Teaching parts of speech in isolation doesn't work. With Little p*ARTs, students learn all the parts of speech while learning how to write interesting sentences.
Bringing it All Together! Stacking, Planning, and Sharing (November 9th) Come bring all of the previous protocols we learn together. Plus in this session we will discuss how to incorporate them into your everyday planning. Finally, we will have a sharing session in which participants can come and share about the success they have had with the previous protocols.
