Graduate-Level Professional Development Units/Credits for Beginning Teachers and Coaches in Teacher Induction Training

Beginning teachers earn 4 Graduate-Level Professional Development Units/Credits Each Year for Only $200!


Coaches earn 3 Graduate-Level Professional Development Units/Credits Each Year for Only $150!

Placer County Office of Education Teacher Induction Program registration is only open for the current academic year 2020 – 2021 and the previous year 2019 – 2020.

Please note that it can take up to 7 weeks from the time you have been graded to receive your Unofficial Transcript and order your Official Transcript should you need one.

These graduate-level professional development semester units/credits are designed for salary advancement and to renew credentials. They are not designed to be applied towards attainment of an advanced degree with the University of the Pacific. University of the Pacific is accredited with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. These courses are accepted by districts across the U.S. Courses4Teachers Inc./University of the Pacific takes great pride in the quality of education and service they provide. They are dedicated to helping teachers earn credit for all the extra work they do. NOTE: if you would like to use these units for salary advancement, contact your district Human Resources or Personnel office for information regarding the pre-approval process.

When to Register for Credit:
As soon as you have completed your teacher induction year, you may submit your registrations for university credit.

  2. See course numbers and titles below. (We need a separate Registration Form for each course number). At the bottom of the first form entry, you will see the option to complete another form. 
  3. Once you hit SUBMIT, your information will automatically complete the University’s Registration Form and email it to us at Courses4Teachers@Courses4Teachers.net.

Should you need to pay by check, please mail Registration Form(s) & check made payable to University of the Pacific to the address below.

Year 2 Teacher Induction:

Course Titles for Coaches:
Year 1:

Mentor Standards I –  3 graduate level professional development semester units/credits
Year 2:

Mentor Standards II –  3 graduate level professional development semester units/credits

Course Titles for Coaches who attended the three-day Coaching Institute (Total of 6 units per year):

NOTE: Within a few days after registering, you will receive an email confirmation of your registration(s). Once we hear from Placer County Office of Education (PCOE) in June, you will receive a grade of “Pass” rather than a letter grade. This grade of “Pass” suffices for credit for salary advancement and to renew credentials. Please note that this grade is not to be used towards attainment of an advanced degree with University of the Pacific.

Transcript Information:
Your district will likely require an Official Transcript. Please note it can take up to 6 – 8 weeks to receive your Unofficial Transcript in the mail. This is your cue to go online and order an Official Transcript should you need one.

If you need your Official Transcript quicklyOnce you see your payment has cleared with your bank, you may email our Courses4Teachers office with a request to post your grade(s) quickly. We will post your grade(s) as quickly as possible and email you to let you know when you are safe order your Official Transcript.
