the Courageous Conversation® educational experience

Get to Know the Policies of your School District
It is your responsibility to know your district and/or university policy regarding transcript requirements and deadline dates.
Information to provide your district should you need prior approval:
- Courses4Teachers Inc. partners with the University of the Pacific. They are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
- The units/credits we provide are graduate-level professional development semester units/credits that are designed for salary advancement and/or to renew credentials. They are not applicable towards a Master’s or higher degree within the University of the Pacific.
*It is your responsibility to confirm with other universities whether they accept these credits toward a higher degree.
Our courses have been accepted in school districts across the United States.

CREDIT FOR Courageous Conversation® Academy SESSION:
The Courageous Conversation® Academy offers a variety of sessions. Participants are eligible to gain a certificate for each Academy session.
Register for the number of units based on the Courageous Conversation® workshop/training/summit you have completed:
CREDIT FOR THE NATIONAL SUMMIT for Courageous Conversation®:
This program requires 45 hours of training. You may register for 3 units.
CREDIT FOR Courageous Conversation’s CUMBRE LATINX:
This program requires 22 hours of training. You may register for 1 unit.
CREDIT FOR THE VIRTUAL ONLINE LATINX SUMMIT:
This program requires 20 hours of training. You may register for 1 unit.
CREDIT FOR THE BEYOND DIVERSITY I, II, OR III ON-SITE COURSES:
This program requires 16 hours of training. You may register for 1 unit.
CREDIT FOR VIRTUAL Courageous Conversation®: The Experience Online Course:
This program requires 8 hours of training and written reflection on your key takeaways from the book Courageous Conversations About Race (3rd Edition preferred) by Glenn E. Singleton and the training session.
CREDIT FOR VIRTUAL Courageous Conversation®: The Exploration Online Course:
This program requires 6.5 hours of training and written reflection on your key takeaways from the book Courageous Conversations About Race (3rd Edition preferred) by Glenn E. Singleton and the training session.
Prerequisite: Current organizational systemic partner relationship with Courageous Conversation® for at least 6-12 months prior to applying for the Practitioner certification, along with completion of our Beyond Diversity I, or Virtual Courageous Conversation® Exploration or Experience foundational training.
The CCAR Practitioner Certification program requires 45 hours of synchronous and asynchronous learning over nine months. After successful completion of your Practitioner Certification, you may register for 3 units.
- Complete the registration form and payment.
- Attach your certificate of completion from the Courageous Conversation® program you have completed. Your certificate is valid for 12 months.
- Certificates can be combined if you would like to register for 1, 2, 3, or 4 units.
