Graduate-Level Professional Development Units/Credits for Beginning Teachers and Mentors in Teacher Induction Training

You may receive 4 units/credits of graduate-level professional curriculum development semester units/credits, at a great discount, from the University of the Pacific for each year you completed Teacher Induction Training or for being a Mentor.

Earn 4 Graduate-Level Professional Development Semester Units/Credits Per Year for Only $200!

Therefore, upon completion of two years of induction training teachers may earn 8 total units/credits of graduate-level professional development semester credit for a total of only $400! Mentors may earn three years of units/credits for a total of 12 units for $600.

Your district has given permission for you to earn credit for both the current academic year as well as the past academic year for your participation in Teacher Induction, provided of course that you have not earned credit for such previously.

Please note: It can take up to 6 – 8 weeks from the time you have been graded to receive your Unofficial Transcript and order your Official Transcript should you need one.

These graduate-level professional development semester units/credits are designed for salary advancement and to renew credentials. They are not designed to be applied towards attainment of an advanced degree with the University of the Pacific. These courses are accepted by districts across the U.S. Courses4Teachers/University of the Pacific takes great pride in the quality of education and service they provide. They are dedicated to helping teachers earn credit for all the extra work they do.

When to Register for Credit:
As soon as you complete your Teacher Induction with Visalia USD you may register. Your deadline to send in your registration is June 15th.

Once we receive a list in June of all the teachers or mentors that have successfully completed their Teacher Induction from the Induction Program Director, you will receive a Grade Confirmation email from us. This email confirmation is just your cue that your grade(s) have started the grading process.

Year One Mentors:

Year Two Mentors:
P EDU 9283, Mentor Standards II – 4 units/credits
Year Three Mentors:
P EDU 9284, Mentor Standards III – 4 units/credits

You may register up to one year after completion of each Teacher Induction year.

Transcript Information:
Your district will likely require an Official Transcript. Please note it can take up to 6 – 8 weeks to receive your Unofficial Transcript in the mail. This is your cue to go online and order an Official Transcript should you need one.

If you need your Official Transcript quicklyOnce you see your payment has cleared with your bank, you may email our Courses4Teachers office with a request to post your grade(s) quickly. We will post your grade(s) as quickly as possible and email you to let you know when you are safe order your Official Transcript.
